On May 16th of this year my daughters Father picked her up for what would be a summer visit with him in Utah where he now lives. She was suppose to return home on August 15th of this month, but less than a week ago I was served papers for a petition of paternity and custody of Elena. He has told me, that he refuses to bring her back to me and to talk to his Lawyer if I have a problem with it.
He is not on her birth certificate, he has barely put himself in to her life until most recently in December of 2014. She was only suppose to be visiting him and now he is trying to take her permanently away from me. I can’t afford a lawyer on my own, the funds it will take to travel to Utah to get her back if the lawyer I plan to hire really can do what she says she can do, and whatever costs I will have to face with the future custody battle.
I am asking, begging, crawling on hands and knees with hope that this can be spread around so that I can get the help that I need to get my daughter back to me. Most of you know me well, some of you I’ve never spoken with but this means everything to me. I can’t live without my little girl, she is all I have in this world.
